About the register

Purpose and scope

A Call Detail Record (CDR) holds call and message metadata for a phone number, such as the numbers contacted, the time and the duration. Investigating officers request CDRs from telecom operators as part of lawful police work.

This register replaces the paper register book. It records each CDR request from the moment it is raised until the result is received and the file is closed, so every request can be traced to an officer, a case and a date.

Access is limited to approved Bangladesh Police accounts. Every sign-in and action is recorded for audit.
